Singam 3 is the big film that hit the screens here today starred by Kollywood Star Suriya. This Action thriller was directed by Hari and as the title suggests this is the third movie in the Singam series.
The first two parts were box office successes and that itself raised the anticipation level of this movie to another level. Even though the first trailer and songs were not that impressive, the film had got record number of screens everywhere. Gnanavel Raja had produced this movie in which Anushka Shetty and Sruthi Hasan plays the female lead characters. The plot of this revolves around the cop character played by Suriya named Durai Singam. He takes on criminals who had killed a police commissioner and he fights against those who are responsible for dumping global waste in illegal manner to get an international order for their company.
This time, Durai Singam is involved an international mission while he is uncovering the mysteries behind the murder of the police commissioner. The film tells you why the commissioner was killed and what the international mission is all about. We can say that director Hari had delivered yet another decent action thriller with this movie. It is a typical mass masala entertainment with all commercial elements like action, suspense, romance, thrill etc in it. Even though there is not much freshness in the plot, the director tried to present it in an engaging manner and he had become successful in that as well. It is a complete Suriya show as he had sizzled on screens as Durai Singam. The heroines had nothing much to do in the plot.
The main aim of the movie is to entertain the fans and it did that at parts. Suriya’s performance and action sequences are the main positives of this movie. Songs were only average and visuals were good. But the length was a negative as it makes the second half a little boring. Artists like Thakur Anoop Singh, Nassar, Sumithra, Suri, Robo Shankar, Radhika Sarath Kumar, Radha Ravi etc also done their part decently as well. In Total, Singam 3 is a one-time watchable mass entertainer.
If you went to see this movie carrying the burden of expectation on your shoulder, you may get disappointed. But if you can without expecting too much, then it may feel as a one-time watchable flick for you.
